In iOS 7, Apple gave us a new Near Me section of the App Store that used location data to spotlight apps that were popular in your area. It wasn’t all that useful, so Apple has enhanced it in iOS 8. Click on the Explore tab and you’ll see an expanded list of local favorites along with a curated collection of apps that break down the App Store categories like never before, whether you’re looking for baby names or just want a taxi ride home.
