We are excited to announce that on Sunday, February 23, 2020 we will be moving to a new location to better serve you. Our new home will be 5218 SW 34th St, Gainesville, FL 32608, just a few doors down from the Publix on the corner of SW 34th Street and Williston Road.

We’ve had it mentioned a time or two that lugging an iMac from the 4 Rivers parking lot to our store is a little hard, so we are happy to say our new location offers a lot more parking spaces. In addition, we have convenient access to I-75, and dedicated service and sales centers (including a customer waiting lounge for service). All of the friendly faces you have come to know and love will be moving along with us – and you may even see a few more pop up!

We are so excited about this move, and we think you will be too.

A Message from Jim:

When I opened GatorTec, I had one goal in mind: to provide Gainesville with a quality place to go for Apple sales, repair and support. Whether it was to buy a new MacBook, or to have an existing iMac repaired, I wanted to be the place that Gainesville could count on.

I had been living and working in the Gainesville community for over twenty years doing IT support, and began to notice that many of my customers were switching from PC to Mac, but there was no real support to help them as they switched. That’s where I got the idea for GatorTec. I selected Tioga Town Center as our first home, and we opened our doors in December 2010, with three employees and a lot of ambition. After three years of increasing traffic in Tioga, I knew it was time to take the next step. As always, I had our customers at the front of my mind – how could we better serve our customers? The answer was to move to a larger space in a more convenient location.

In October 2013, we opened our doors in Butler Plaza. Over the past six years, we have watched so many amazing changes happen as the business has evolved. We have grown our staff to a team of twenty (and counting!), and we are now the highest volume Apple Authorized Service Prover in the Southeast. We expanded our offerings to meet the needs of our customers by adding same day iPhone repair and the formation of our Commercial Services Team, as well as value-adds like our GatorGuard membership. Every change we have made since our inception has been with you, the customer, in mind. That is why after over six years at our current location, we have decided to relocate to 5218 SW 34th St.

One thing will never change – our commitment to our customers. We love this town and the people in it, and we are so grateful for the support you have shown us these last nine years. Without you, we wouldn’t be where we are today.
